53 to 70.3: an old slow 53 year old's road to 70.3 and 26.2

Introduction	I'm here to chronicle my road to my first 70.3 triathlon in May of 2011 and my first full marathon in late fall of 2011. I'm old, I'm slow and I'm not exactly skinny. I am not an athlete, never have been fast at anything, and I'm scared to death. But I am also very determined to get this thing done and off my bucket list, and finish before the cutoff time. I'm 54 years old this July, and the most athletic thing I've ever done in my life before the age of 48 was run to the refrigerator. Yeah, I grew up before girls' sports were in vogue in high school, but I always WANTED to be an athlete. Yet God gave me two left feet, poor hand eye coordination, and a body built for watching TV.
