| Introduction | I am a middle aged white female, married to a disabled man, who has been able to virtually see most of the economic spectrum - from the streets, to the weekly motels, to mcmansions, and even castles. I know some things fairly certainly, and I know I have been blessed to have a great deal of things, to lose those things, and to value the most important things in life: love, faith, and hope. Not to be trite but you can make it out of situations with a little help. Horatio Alger was a myth, a character. There ain't no pull yourself up by your shoestrings! Talk about an urban myth! |
