The first poem in the book was nominated for a Puschart Prize. "What Looks Like an Elephant" was published by Lummox Press, 2011 and was runner for Indie Lit Poetry Book of the Year for 2011. "Night Fires," semifinalist for the Journal Award, was published by Pudding House, 2009. He was finalist in the 2019 Atlanta Review Poetry Contest. "Edward Nudelman’s delicious use of math and science language and metaphors combined with his sense of humor and seemingly limitless curiosity…and the sheer loveliness of so many lines…make this a book to re-read, to share with friends and family, and to return to for inspiration, discovery, comfort, and fun."−April Ossmann former director of Alice James Books. |
| Interests | reading, writing and arithmetic, thick red wine that must be scooped out of the glass, scrabble with susan who lets me beat her, open tunings, walking the salt marshes of Ipswich, walking the sand of Dane Beach, writing poetry when the words flow like bad wine (i.e. thin and vaporous) and eating lavish meals with my beautiful family |
| Favorite movies | 1966 super-eight reel of my family at Disneyland, the one I'm watching, Meet Joe Black, because I cried and cried, and no one I know has it as their favorite movie, and everyone has these long lists... and my daughter Kate loves that I love this movie. A close second would be So I Married An Ax Murderer. |
| Favorite music | the song I'm playing, Bob Dylan, and get real, his voice is getting better, Scorpions (esp. live double album), Cranberries, Gustav Rattleman (no such performer, but if there was one, I'd like his music) |
| Favorite books | the book I'm reading, the book you're reading, all books that have words, and I even like a few that have no words, I like to read contemporary poetry and there are some really good poets poetting right now! |
