| Introduction | I have been knitting since I was in high school although for quite some time I was "brother dependent." My older brother had to cast on for me every time I wanted to knit. In payment, I knit him a bright yellow sweater out of khaki yarn. He wore it quite a bit, as I remember....or at least he wore it whenever I was around. What a great guy! My aunt taught me to knit more indepedently when I was in college. She had learned from her mother, my grandmother who emigrated to the US from Denmark. I never knew that grandmother, so I have always liked to have that connection with her and my Danish roots. |
