| Introduction | 36 Years old. A Newcastle United supporter since childhood picking up the mantle from my father and his father before him. I somehow possess a degree and must admit to having taken my grant (full course fees paid for as well) and decided to invest it in following Newcastle United around England and Europe. Despite this I somehow managed to scrape a qualification the content of which I remember little of. However, much of the football stands out in the mind. I now travel a great deal to places that usually invoke gasps of "oh, you meeting Borat?", or, "rather you than me". As such I have become a connoisseur of international presentation of English football on television, please reassure Niall Quinn that I am still paying for a ticket for games I can't get to. Places I have visited/visit include Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Gambia, Nigeria, China, Japan, Korea, Italy, Belgium, Holland, France, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland. To be fair I only went to Japan for a day and went to the pub. |
