Gender Female
Occupation Veterinarian
Location Ohio, United States
Introduction From a very early age I have always had "the calling" to become a veterinarian. Animals have always been my passion. So as a teenager I began volunteering at vet clinics. Fifteen years later, in 2004, I graduated from THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing for 3 years in my native New York City, I decided to move back to O-HI-O. And I am SOOOOO happy to be here. I have met so many wonderful people and now I have the opportunity to make a real difference for dogs and their people by working with HELP FIDO. Animal Cruelty and BSL hit very close to home for me for 2 reasons. One - I have 3 dogs and 5...yes 5...cats, almost all of which were rescued or adopted from homes/shelters where they were living in poor conditions. Two - working in NYC I have witnessed unimaginable acts of cruelty towards "pit bull" type dogs. It's time for me to stand up with the members of HELP FIDO and make some positive change!!
Interests Ummm...working, working, working. When I'm not working I like to fish, read, surf the net, shop and of course play with my "furry kids".
Favorite Movies Any old musicals or black and white movies, all 3 "Godfather" movies
Favorite Music Anything really, I can pretty much listen to any station and sing along! But Bon Jovi, Billy Joel and Billie Holliday are some of my faves.
Favorite Books Right now I'm reading a book about the life of the philosopher Maimonidies. But I read more Veterinary journals that anything.
