| Introduction | Hi, I am Celeste Blumenauer, a.k.a. Catfish - which is the moniker given to me a few years back.....by a few DC Junk Men at one of my favorite auctions! I am the mother of two fabulous teen boys and wife to a great supportive soul - my dear Bill. My business is revitalizing vintage pieces using faux finishing techniques and am now also the PROUD STOCKIST OF THE ONE AND ONLY ANNIE SLOAN PAINTS FOR THE D.C. METRO AREA. My pieces and finishes are available to touch and see at On A Whim in Lucketts, VA and I have a new studio in Rockville for workshops and general paint play. My passion is learning everything I can about refinishing, refurbishing and recherishing vintage and just plain old looking pieces of furniture - then passing it on to whomever will listen! |
