| Introduction | In December 2008 I embarked on my weight loss journey. Why? Because I was 21 1/2 stone, needed an extension on the seat belt on the plane and was having trouble with my joints. At the same time my daughter-in-law, Jen was diagnosed with cervical cancer. In March 2010 after I had lost 3 stone, I signed up to do the adidas Women's Challenge (5k) and joined a running group. After a 2 year battle with cancer, Jen died in August 2010. I now run in remembrance of Jen and to raise funds for Jo's Trust. I have completed many 5k's 10k's, 3 half marathons and am just weeks away from a full marathon. |
