| Introduction | We know the importance of agriculture to our region and California. Our field scouts,Jenna Mayfield and Damien Jelen, are with the San Joaquin Sustainable Farming Project and the Sustainable Cotton Project. They work with farmers and growers in Fresno, Merced and Madera counties. Damien handles the cotton and alfalfa fields while Jenna works in the almond orchards. Together they scout for crop-damaging pests, providing a second set of eyes in the field for our growers and University of California Extension farm advisors and UC Statewide Integrated Pest Management advisors. |
