| Introduction | LEE – it was written on my baptismal and birth certificates so, technically, that’s the legal name.
(bale kung balaod ang basehan, mistil nang lalison ug wala nay dapat subayon. . .mao gyud ni akong ngalan.) TATA – used by my close relatives and childhood friends. also used it on my name tag way back my jollibee days. (common term. equivalent ni sa dodong/inday sa mga cebuano ug toto/inday sa mga hilonggo. atleast mao nay akong pagtuo.) JOKER – used by some kids during high school saying i’m funny. another insisted it’s because i look funny. whatever. luv this one though. reminds me of a bat movie where jack nicholson played this character and, of course, the recent one played by the late heath ledger. (“tan-awon pa lang ka namo joke na.” hantod karon dili gihapon ko sigurado kung compliment ba ni o yagayaga.) SUPLADO – what some ritarians call me behind my back during college. adopted it to remind myself that other people’s opinion counts at times. (sukad nga gigamit na nako ni, wala na kaayo ninglibak nako gamit ning ngalana. hinuon, basin lain na pod ilang tawag nako.) |
