Introduction Nona to two wonderful grandsons, the newest being Greyson Thomas Wells, this blogpost actually began after the birth of our first grandson, Judah, whose name means praise. I like that. In Genesis 29, we read the story of Jacob and his two wives, Leah and Rachel. Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah. Rachel could have no children, so Leah thought that having children was her way to win Jacob's love. v. 32: Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son and named him Reuben, for she said, "It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now." Didn't work. Two more sons born. Didn't work. Then she had that fourth son, and all of a sudden, she got it. It was never Jacob's love she needed in order to be complete. It was her relationship with God that completed her. Verse 35 says that when she gave birth to this son she said, "This time I will praise the Lord. So she named him Judah." I love this for many reasons. Such a reminder to me that I have searched many places for "wholeness", but it is and has always been found in Christ, and it is KNOWN in walking with Him. May our walk become stronger...
