| Introduction | I am passionate about the intersection of neurobiology and engineering, and I have a deep appreciation for both classic and contemporary art, music, technological innovation, traditions, and history. My interests also extend to fine craftsmanship, especially in the worlds of timepieces and fishing, where I value the blend of tradition and innovation. ケースウェスタンリザーブ大学医学研究科神経科学部の教員（日本生まれ日本育ち）の「時計」と「釣り」を中心としたノートです。 「時計」に関しては時計学に興味があります。趣味で「腕時計」，本業で「生物時計」の研究をしております。 趣味の腕時計については時間的正確性を実現する内部機構などの計器としての興味にとどまらず各ブランドの審美眼的なデザイン設計やブランディングのマーケティング戦略なども興味があります。 本業の生物時計の研究については，主に概日時計ニューロンの情報処理原理と睡眠制御機構をテーマに研究していますが，さすがにここでは紹介しきれませんので，私のホームページをご覧ください。 「釣り」に関しては，特に疑似餌（ルアーやフライ）の釣りが好きです。ホームレイクLaDue Reservoir（対象魚はラージマウスバス），ホームリバーChagrin Riverです（対象魚はスモールマウスバスとスチールヘッド）を拠点として，時々刻々と変わる魚をキャッチする正解を見つけることを楽しんでいます。正解を見つけることを楽しんでいるため釣れない時間も楽しいんです。もちろん正解がわかる（つまり釣れる）と楽しいですが，正解がわからなくても（つまり釣れない）楽しいです。 |
