Introduction | I am a Black woman. I am a Christian. I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a preacher’s kid. I am a middle child. I am a publicist. I am a meeting planner. What I cannot do without is my family, weekend getaway’s/quiet time with my husband (we never have enough), Gayle King on XM Radio, Oprah, CNN, White House/Black Market, Bloomingdales, blogging, Mary Kay moisturizer, M.A.C’s Deep Dark blot powder, Southland, Real Housewives (I should but I can’t), the hair and nail salon, Suze Orman on my IPod, volunteerism, hugs and kisses from my children, chatting with old and close friends, Ghirardelli chocolate, Greek chicken salad from a local spot in my ‘hood, and I’m sure there’s more but this is enough right now. I am a former pageant director in the Miss America Scholarship Program, and Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens Int’l. I am a former Miss Ohio Talented Teen and Miss Black & Gold. I have an AWESOME track record in pageantry. I teach etiquette to children and want to help them prepare to lead successful lives. One flaw, and I have many, is that my body doesn’t understand when it’s time to go to sleep. Like now. |
