IntroductionI am not a licensed healthcare professional. I use the "Uncle Doc" name for a couple of reasons. I had a real Uncle Doc that I loved very much. One of his favorite sayings was "when all else fails, read the instructions." So I dedicate my research to him. Another reason I use "Uncle Doc" is that I was given the nickname "Doc" by a business partner. It happened one evening when we were entertaining some visitors from South Africa. One of our guests doubled-over in pain saying he had a severe case of heartburn. I got up from the table and asked the waiter to find me some vinegar (I use Apple Cider Vinegar when I am at home). I mixed the vinegar with some water and asked him to chug it. His heartburn went away immediately and I was congratulated as the "Doc". The nickname stuck with these friends because of my continued interest in nutrition and natural cures. And I'm an uncle, so "Uncle Doc" fits me when I am prescribing myself healthy reminders. Any health information I write about is strictly for my own educational purposes. It is not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat or cure any disease that you may have. It is just my point of view.
