IntroductionAdventurer and life-long learner - spills over into all my roles including mother, lover, wife, writer, educator, friend. TENACIOUS: Re-learned how to walk after back surgery. CURIOUS: About nearly everything. LOYAL AND LOVING. NEIGHBOURLY: Growing up in Manitoba and through Mennonite roots I have come to view everyone as my neighbour. I believe in living a life of service and have often worked for not-for-profit agencies. ADVENTUROUS: For over 20 years I've been an experiential/adventure educator, facilitating people's knowledge about themselves (self-reliance; compassion; leadership; community)through outdoor adventures (such as mountaineering, rock climbing, dog-sledding, white-water canoeing/kayaking) in Canada, the U.S. and Costa Rica. TRAVELLER: S.E. Asia, Europe, South/Central/North America)so far. I revel in and respect that there's often more than one right way. SEXY. SUFFER FROM FOMO: Fear Of Missing Out/running out of time. FORMAL EDUCATION: Psychology, Social/Cultural Anthropology, English Literature and Comparative Religions. LOVER OF LIFE who is currently sleep-deprived because I'm the mother to another lover of life.
InterestsWriting, walking, reading, travelling, the outdoors, singing, coffee/wine and conversations with friends, being an excellent parent: raising a globally conscious/compassionate/spirited/playful/tenacious/curious child, keeping my marriage sizzling, life-long learning, squeezing the orange
Favorite moviesI rarely watch movies more than once, but some of my favourites are: Priscilla Queen of the Desert Brother Sun Sister Moon (about St. Francis of Assisi) Truly Madly Deeply Spelling Bee - Documentary The Indiana Jones series The Lord of the Rings series A Knight's Tale Princess Bride Hudson Hawk Amalie Quirky foreign films
Favorite musicWhile I love blues, bluegrass, some jazz, celtic, classical, folk, 4 part harmony hymns, British Pop and good ole rock and roll, I can find music I enjoy in practically any genre.
Favorite booksLove all types, from non-fiction to fiction, science fiction, fantasy suspense, mystery, romance, children's literature, adventure/travel, erotic, biographies, science journals, Outpost magazine and parenting magazines. My list is endless. One book I really enjoyed was the biography of Mae West. "I used to be Snow White but then I drifted."

Which is easier to make a model airplane out of and why: a banana peel or a wet sock?

A banana peel is shaped aerodynamically and can peel off the runaway, but if frozen into shape a wet sock would make a fine blimp.
