Introduction	“Often we mistake the ‘heroic’ as a single act, a solitary gesture, a lonely decision; when in truth, it is the repetitiveness, the monotony, the boring, recurring, day-in-day-out routine of it all that is what is truly heroic. For consider how easy it really is to say, ’Give me liberty or give me death’, to march to the gallows with head held high and smile on one’s lips, to intercept the flight of an arrow into a friend’s heart with one’s own body. Easier really than:-------Waking up at 6 a.m. five days a week to commute or drive yourself in all that traffic to the office to work eight hours at a job you hate but must do, to put food on the table. Staying at your desk at the office or at home to finish something when there’s a great show on TV. Cyrano de Bergerac wouldn’t have been able to write poems and battle giants if he had to wake up at six every morning to be sure to catch a bus. Don Quixote couldn’t have embarked on his quest if he had to wake up at 2 a.m. almost every day to feed a wailing baby his formula. Howard Roark would have taken the money instead of dynamiting his creation if he had three mouths to feed."
