| Introduction | John and I have been married for 10 years and going strong. He is my soul mate and my best friend. God sent me Ava so I could reevaluate the important things in life. This little girl has taught me more in five short years than I have learned in a lifetime. She makes me want to be a better person. I have the best girlfriends in the world! Let me mention them now..Stacy, the best by FAR! She is more than a friend really, she is family. Claudia, she will take my secrets to the grave and never judges; Susan, who loves my kid like her own; Maria, who is the most beautiful! And finally my sister..who simply amazes me with her grace and her will. Among so many other things. But don't tell her I said so! I have a large family who I don't get to see enough of--probably because I don't take enough time to stop and say hi. My grandma Berend is the single most influential person in my life.
