| Introduction | I've moved to Washington, D.C. Working for the government by day, cooking up a storm by night. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey and spent my summers in Istanbul and on the beaches of the Aegean with the amazing women of my family who taught me to cook. Admittedly, the people at America's Test Kitchen, Julia Child, Claudia Roden, Paula Wolfert, Ayla Algar, and Ana Sortun have all contributed to my culinary education as well.
