The Emerging Worldview

Introduction	For as long as I can remember I've been asking questions that can’t be answered – like why does this most amazing universe exist at all, and what are we doing here on this beautiful living planet, and what would it mean for us to fully realise our human potential, and why did evolution bother to turn out self-reflective creatures who can't help but ask unanswerable questions like these? Such questions, and the accompanying sense of wonder, led me to study philosophy and theology en route to becoming a minister of the church – then to earn a PhD in psychology en route to becoming a psychotherapist and university lecturer – then to become a gardener in the “new age” community of Findhorn – until finally settling down as a leadership consultant in New Zealand where Bella and I have lived for the last 30 years. Now I’m retired, with nothing to do but pursue these same persistent questions, think great thoughts, indulge my life-long love of science and new-found love of history, and engage with anyone who’s interested in contributing to the emerging worldview.
