| Introduction | I love color. I love texture. I love detail. And I love the working with textiles in layers. And I love coffee at the start of my day and a glass of wine as the day draws to a close. I work with many different types of media using traditional techniques as well as experimental methods. I enjoy working within the genre of quilting while exploring photo transfer, print, paint, and stitch. My most recent work starts with eco printed materials using silk, rayon, cotton and wool. I love experimenting with all threads and use machine stitching and hand stitch to finish a piece. The art of the slow stitch is becoming one of my favorite techniques. |
| Interests | Art, art, art and more art. I love seeing all types of art work and enjoy going to galleries and art shows as well as visiting new places. I love bicycling (road & mountain) when the weather is warm and the wind is not howling, snow skiing (down hill & cross country) on sunny days, kayaking (mostly lakes now), hiking, traveling (favorite place: Spain), reading, photography, yoga, and tai chi. |
