My blogs

About me

IntroductionRetired journalist and editor, now a general writer, scrivener, and amateur photographer. My blogs are a broad sweep over the things I don’t do very well. Those that are mainly words, with one or two exceptions, don’t hit double figures in visitors; those that are pictures attract even less. ‘A Right Frample’ are my scribblings dating right back to my teenage years. The blog is a half-way house between my desk drawer and the bin with my efforts showing why I never made it as a writer. ‘Forgotten Fife Tales’ is the result of a failed, even disastrous, business venture, proving my total lack of commercial and entrepreneurial acumen. ‘A daunder through St Monans’ is a photographic record of living in the East Neuk burgh. These are a mixture of snapshots, pictures for the local paper and attempts to be ‘arty’. The blog was created simply because I didn’t want to delete them all. Finally there’s ‘A Photographic Frample’, supposedly to show off my best pictures and provide an opportunity to once again use the word ‘frample’. This is a very small, never-visited blog and so it’s one you won’t be disturbed in – it has that going for it. Thanks for reading this, that rarely happens.
