| Introduction | My life as a writer began around February 12th, 2003. At the beginning of that year, I had reluctantly decided to leave the company I had put my heart and soul into, as Chief Technology Officer, and was doing what all techies do when out of workâtrying to find some consulting projects. After a long morning on the phone, I opened a new WORD document and started to write a story that had been sitting in the back of my mind for months. I wrote until near midnight. I was hooked. After several false starts - including a completed novel that was just not good enough - with a lot of hard work, some wonderful mentoring and a bit of luck here and there, I published my first Cal Rogan mystery, "Junkie". I am now hard at work on the sequel, "Oboe". |
