Introduction	Born in Shetland, moved to Aberdeen when wee. Came back after leaving school. Worked as labourer, fishworker, oil worker, etc before going to uni, while helping to raise a family. Got a degree. Worked as programmer in Edinburgh, but came back again & am now a teacher.
Interests	Creative writing, comedy, films, poetry, music, travel, photography
Favorite Movies	Lawrence of Arabia, Field of Dreams, Rumblefish, Schindlers List, Witness, Gladiator, Life of Brian, Marx Brothers movies, This Is Spinal Tap, Lord of the Rings, historical epics with casts of thousands.
Favorite Music	Rock, folk, jazz, world, classical, blues, etc, etc - stuff that can be found on my 4000 or so CDs, LPs and tapes
Favorite Books	Grapes of Wrath, Puckoon, Sunset Song, Asterix, Tin Tin, Greenvoe, history books, atlases, books with loadsa useless facts and figures such as Guinness Book of Hit Singles, etc
