| Favorite movies | From mid 2012--other than the Avengers which I really enjoyed, haven't seen a good movie this year...at least not one that I would put in my top ten or even twenty. From 2011...loved the Harry Potter series..finally saw it in 2011 and loved the final installment. Just imagine if those three kids couldn't act..wouldn't that have been a bummer. Also just enjoyed Midnight in Paris. Have to say Hangover II was still funny. Same movie plot different setting but still funny. Movies I love from 2010 --Toy Story 3...and that is about all I saw these past couple of years(boy do I need to get out more)-Fastastic Mr. Fox, Hangover, Star Trek and Blindside. Old movies-pre 2009-- Field of Dreams, Sound of Music, Year of Living Dangerously, Wedding Date, Working Girl, Godfather 1 & 2, Highlander,(Reading my niece Maureen's blog reminds me of two more of my favorite movies--To Kill a Mockingbird--of course. My son's name is Atticus. And my daughter Murphy and I love Moulin Rouge. |

| Favorite books | Have started to listening to books-don't know the name but just finished book on Lincoln and the Civil War(outstanding), also listened to Alexander Hamilton, a biography(fascinating) and am currently listening to Flags of our Fathers(sad and inspiring at the same time). Have also listened to Nora Ephron, I remember nothing(hilarious, and so glad we listened to it before her death.) Also listened to a Dennis Leary rant(got a little old after the first rant.) |
