Introduction I tell most everyone that I’m from Salt Lake City, however Union is my hometown. I grew up on 900 East. Shopping centers and office buildings overcame beautiful pastures where I ran and played and attended a Christmas Card-beautiful, white church on the corner. If you happened to drive by there in the late 1960’s, I was the kid sitting about six inches from the pavement, selling tomatoes (that I hoed all summer) for 20 cents a pound. I am one of the few women that admit that I went to BYU to find my husband. Al and I were married on July 5th. It is said: Firecrackers on the 4th, Dynamite and on 5th! Mission accomplished, I quit college after three semesters and followed my dream of having babies, cooking dinner and cleaning the house. Seriously, that was my dream. I have been blessed beyond measure to enjoy such a life. We have five children and seventeen grandchildren. I did return to BYU and graduated the same month as my fiftieth birthday!
Interests I have a problem with interests because I have too many. That makes it tough to excel in anything! I play the piano, sew, garden, exercise, read, cook, write, and watch everyone else in the family play sports. I love going out with friends, being with my family and speaking. Sounds like Mrs. America! I wish you could hear me laughing.

The hair from your last haircut ... what would it say about your new style?

I really needed it!
