Introduction	I'm a single dad, and a teacher, and a dog owner, and a wannabe cook, and a lousy video-game player, and an even lousier card player, and someone who worries more about being better at the things he's good at than about being good at the things he's bad at, and a lover of words, and of ideas, and of truth, and of fiction, and of the blurred borderline between the two. You'll find some essays here, and some observations, and meditations, and even a little fictional experimentation a time or two. Where one begins and the other ends, I don't have the faintest idea. Maybe that's the whole point to writing, though: to discover that elusive boundary between reality and fiction, or to at least discover that it doesn't exist. "A thing may happen and be a total lie," writes author Tim O'Brien, "while another thing may not happen and be truer than the truth...."
