| Introduction | My daughter Jenny came to Australia in 2001 and decided to stay after she earned her Masters and PhD here. I came in 2002 and have been spending the southern summers here ever since. Now she is married to Joshua and they have a little girl named Elsie! We are in Melbourne (a bit outside the city) and really like it. Many polls have decided that Melbourne is one of the most liveable cities in the world. I would like to show it to you by way of the photos that I have taken over the years. Melbourne is very user friendly and fun. There are many cafes, restaurants, museums, theatres, parks and gardens, shopping streets and festivals. And of course the famous Australian Open in January and the Melbourne Cup in November - the horse racing at the fabulous Flemington Racecourse that stops the whole city for days! |
