| Introduction | Mandy Olsen graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. As a central part of her curriculum, she studied child development and child care. Her training in these subjects is extensive: she is licensed to teach child development and parent education courses in public schools and in the community. Mandy has worked as a preschool teacher in Fairfax, Virginia. She has also taught elementary school in the first, second, and third grades. In addition to her career, she has performed extensive volunteer work in the community with preschool-age children. As you can probably tell, Mandy loves kids! With twenty-two nieces and nephews, she feels most at home when surrounded by children. Mandy came to the Twin Cities with her husband, Trent, who is beginning his doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota. She looks forward to staying in the area for several years. |
