| Introduction | Our family had the adventure, trials and lifetime opportunity to live on our 40 acre Amish farm completely off-the-grid for almost 3 3 1/2 years in a day and age like today! We recently hooked up to electricity to add some modern conveniences here at the farm. Welcome to my world! I create constantly whether it is in my mind or working on our 1890 farmhouse. We have 11 outbuildings in various states of creativity (ok, disrepairs) - therefore I have plenty to keep me busy in the artistic department. But first you will find me loving Jesus, homeschooling our 6 children and takin' care of a farmer hubby... I love this large palette our farm (www.MapleValleyFarms.net) affords me to work with, where I create on a "twist-tie" budget. The Sophisticated Agrarian is my very own bulletin board to post my creative ideas and projects from home decorating and small building projects, photography, organic gardening, sewing, painting, natural farming and cooking.
