| Introduction | I am a religious of the Congregation of Holy Cross and have recently completed my seminary studies at Moreau Seminary, gaining the MDiv degree from the University of Notre Dame. As of summer 2013, I am assigned to Holy Cross Parish, South Bend, IN. Shortly after arriving there, I will be ordained as a deacon. My ordination as a priest we hope will follow on the Saturday after Easter, 2014. Up until this point, I have preached in various contexts, mainly at the Hours and at Devotions, as well as in preaching and liturgy classes. This blog is an opportunity for me to share homily manuscripts online. I always write a manuscript, but don't always take it into the sanctuary with me, so these may vary a little from what was preached. I welcome feedback. My hope is that these words will proclaim to you the Good News of our loving God's saving action for us in Christ Jesus, and call forth a loving response from His people. I always preach as one standing in need of evangelization and continued conversion. |
