| Introduction | I live in Southwest Florida where the mangroves meet the Gulf. I am an artist, educator and naturalist patiently learning about the unique and fragile collection of ecosystems that surround me. I experience awe with the moment to moment experiences in nature and feel immense gratitude for the reflections of my human life that this natural world gives me. I walk this path holding the memories of walks with my father as he strolled with my sister and me over the hills and through the woods down to the Potomac River in DC and with the memories of my mother,showing me how to garden around our house,observing the wildlife that it brought to us. As an educator I have set up classrooms outside and shown students how to find their way in their own backyards. My art work focuses on the reflections I see around me.Currently, I hold three Florida Master Naturalist certificates through the University of Florida; Coastal Systems, Upland Habitats and Wetland Systems. I endeavor to walk lightly on this earth with gratitude and joy and a song in my heart! |
