| Introduction | I began this blog as a 56-year-old Southern woman who was moving to New York. I have some chronic health conditions that make my life difficult, a very high-stress and public life, and a crippling case of laziness! I am also a survivor of chronic childhood abuse and have PTSD which carries it's own set of problems. The PTSD and the chronic health conditions and the stressful life all play off of each other and create a tangled mess. I began this blog to detail my efforts to try to exit this morass and improve my health. I anticipated that life would be easier in our new home, but the move and transition was much more difficult than expected and my health has actually gotten worse at this point. So this blog began as a countdown to our new life and my wrestling with myself to make hard changes in my life and, health. I didn't make much progress before we moved, and it's been even slower since we moved. But I am continuing to plug away at this goal. Thanks for coming along with me. |
