| Introduction | I have an easy smile and an easy manner, and a sunny outlook on life but a low tolerance for closed minds, dogmatism, bigotry, prejudice or swearing. I am a gardener who has difficulty making things grow and a lover of good food, beer and wine who enjoys eating simply at home while sitting comfortably on the patio. I am a participant in life rather than a watcher. I have an interest in the world and making the world a better place for our grandchildren and try not to make this lip service that does not translate into action. This ties to my love of ecology and sustainability and my efforts to get better at doing small things to improve the environment. Last but not least I am trying to be a writer and have a desperate desire to write something consequential. |
