IntroductionRachel Bauer has worked in residential interior design for over twelve years. She has run her own interior design business for the past eight years and has managed high-end design projects for Drysdale Design Associates, Brown-Davis Interiors, and Jan Showers and Associates. Her work at these firms has included The British Embassy, Columbia Country Club, and former President and Secretary of State Clinton’s home. She has worked on several rooms for the National Symphony Orchestra show houses and the Washington Design Center show houses. Many of these projects have been published in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Southern Accents, Interior Design, Traditional Home, and the Washington Post. Additionally, Rachel worked as a design consultant on TLC’s design show Home Made Simple. Originally from Texas, Rachel studied at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned a BA in Fine Arts, Business Administration, and German. Then she focused on Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in New York City, earning her AAS in Interior Design. She also spent summers studying languages, art, and interior design in Vienna, Florence, and Mainz, Germany.
