| Introduction | I was born in Riverside, California in 1963. My family moved to San Diego when I was seven, where I grew up in Mira Mesa. I spent my summers each year in Burly, Idaho with my mother's parents, Florence and Orval Merrill. That’s where I developed a love of animals and a respect for the land. It was during this time on the farm riding horses, herding cattle and taming wild kittens, that I developed a love of storytelling. I dreamed that one day I would become a published author and share my stories with the world. Having spent my entire life in California, my husband Dave and I made the bold move from Sacramento, California to Kalispell, Montana to retire in February 2018. Now I am able to pursue my passion for writing books full-time and hanging with my grandkids. “I am thrilled and elated to be doing what I love.” I play with the grandkids, talk with my kids and hang out with my husband, our new friends, and of course I write. What could be better than that? |
