| Introduction | "The world is a stage and all the people merely players". Since hearing that quote I have lived my life by it, believing it, and qualifying my life by it. It is impossible for me to sit still for more than a few minutes unless I am doing something ie: working on my laptop, writing, painting or something else equally creative. It drives my nearest and dearest crazy because they think I am incapable of relaxing. They do not realise that being creative in any genre is how I relax and that I get enormous cathartic therapy by doing so. To sit in a chair may well rest my body but my mind is constantly active and I feel the best way to satisfy my need for stimulation is to be creatively active. I have written poetry and verse for many years, either in the form of lyrics or poems. Many times I have found this to be theraputic in times of stress and anxiety. The same must be said for my art sessions. We all need a "let out clause" - creativity is mine. Submit Blog Directory |
