Introduction Moved to the Yukon in 1980 as a young bride. Studied social work in my late 20's, got a divorce, went traveling, got involved with Canadian Crossroads International and was sent to Togo in '91. Came home prematurely with a serious case of cerebral malaria and a taste for more work in 'developing' countries. Met Robertson, a Yukoner studying in Victoria in 1993 when I moved there, swearing never to return to the North. That lasted 6 years. We worked as a photo/writer team for an NGO in Indonesia, Philippines, Ecuador. We were 'married' in a do-it-yourself ceremony in Bali in '95. In 1999, we found the aptly named "Dunroamin' House" before setting off to Columbia for our last stint of roaming. In 2006, graduated with a BSW from Yukon College, (what I like to think of as my 20 year degree plan). Being 'settled' has brought many surprises and stories.
