| Introduction | In door and window mfg since 1980. Emphasis on marketing, advertising, communications. On the Board of Directors for the Canadian Wood Manufacturing Council. | Interests | At work: wood building products including interior doors, exterior solid timber doors, timber and metal clad timber windows, lift-slide exterior doors, sliding-folding exterior glass doors and all types of overhead doors. Business Development Director for Lynden Door - a US manufacturer of wood interior doors. Residential and architectural doors, non-rated and fire rated doors in wood veneer, high pressure decorative laminates and molded facings. Our 400, 000 sq ft plant is FSC and SFI chain of custody certified and we have numerous LEED contributions available through our proprietary GreenDor program. My work with Lynden Door concerns marketing, door design (the Rediscovery Collection), support to corporate hospitality clients and sales to major international projects. Past lives include 16 years as a small business owner (overhead door manufacturing, "Hanover Doors"), 8 years with Loewen Windows, and stints with an ad agency and a custom entryway/window manufacturer. At play: Reading fiction, windsurfing, golf, family and (especially) grandson Tyrus fill my recreational time. |
