| Introduction | I'm a DUI defense attorney in the beautiful North Florida city of Gainesville. Gainesville is best known as the location of the University of Florida. As such, it gives me a unique opportunity to practice DUI defense because of the large body of college students and the monstrous success of the University of Florida's athletic teams nicknamed the Gators. Almost every weekend of the year there is some event drawing people from all over the nation attending. The largest such events occur during the fall when the sweltering heat of summer gives way to cool autumn air and the sounds of football flow from the Swamp--the Gators home field. This stadium--officialy known as Ben Hill Griffin Stadium--seats 90,000 fanATICS (lunatics might be more accurate) who with the aid of various alcoholic beverages voice their support, and displeasure, for the Gators on six weekends that play host to home football games. This blog is dedicated to my ongoing fight against what I believe is the most unfair and unjust set of laws currently on the books anywhere in the United States. |
