| Introduction | Hi, and a very warm welcome to you. My name is Ian Lowden, I'm English, and I'm (at the time of Writing) 46 years old. I left my home country 2 years ago to travel extensively. In the mean time I became the proud father of Ronnie, a beautiful (if slightly naughty little boy) He promted me to reminice about my own childnhood and youth, and I have therefore dedicated this blog to him. I had so many fond memories that although I hadn't fogotton about, had 'put to one side'. From my first LP I bought, to my dad's Ford Popular car that took us on trips into the country or by the sea. To the fashions of my teenage years and the 'pop culture' that seemed so important. This blog is a celebration of all things that were wonderful about growing up in the 1960's 70's and 80's and I very much hope, you, my valued readers, will join in and share fond memories of your upbringing no matter where in the world you are. Indeed, it would be fantastic to hear from all different cultures and backgrounds about their youth, and not just (but still important) stories from my home country the UK. So please respond to my posts and have fun reminicing about glory days gone but not forgotton. |
