| Introduction | Once upon a time (I'm afraid to say, not too long ago!), I felt the pressure to be perfect. I was NEVER, of course, perfect, but my mission was to strive for it! The perfect relationship, the perfect career, the perfect savings plan, the perfect friendships, the perfect hair, the perfect body, the perfect diet, the perfect workout routine. And then, one day, during an arguement with my (not perfect) husband about our (not perfect) finances, I found myself sitting in my (not perfect) home, devouring a carton of (NEAR perfect) Ben & Jerry's, and watching my (not perfect) diet go down the drain. I set the spoon down, backed away from the Half Baked, and decided that day that perfection is absolutely impossible, and striving for it is an absolute a waste of precious time, energy, and happiness! Since this day, i've discovered the vast land of happiness that lies between black & white, good & bad, right & wrong, and i'm loving every step of my journey! |
