| Introduction | Welcome to Woodland Essence! We are interested in sharing our thoughts and experiences of our time spent in the Adirondack mountains of northern New York state. The seasons of the year will be our guide in our writing and photography. In time Kate and I will share stories of the forest and wetlands, the rivers and wild lakes, and of course the herbs. As the year turns, the wild- crafting of flowers, bark, mushrooms and roots along with all the medicine plants will be featured. This is a new adventure for us at Woodland Essence and we hope you enjoy the beauty and diversity of this wild land, through these photos and writings, as much as we have in our Adirondack wanderings! Please visit our website: www.woodlandessence.com to learn more about the amazing work we do. Thanks, Don |
