Introduction	The Broomwell Ryeland flock was established in 1982 and is the oldest flock in Scotland. The Ryeland sheep originated in the rye-grass lands around Hereford and is one of the oldest British breeds, famous for the quality of both wool and meat. The Ryeland is a docile and easily kept sheep, ideal for both commercial and smallholder breeders.
