| Introduction | 前田 中（まえだ あたる）＜略歴＞1972年千葉県出身、本名 中（あたる）、1999年より根付彫刻を始める、千葉県在住。日本象牙彫刻会理事、国際根付彫刻会役員。東京造形大学デザイン科を卒業、造形家、フリーライターを経たのち、かねてより注目していた根付彫刻を独学にて始め、斎藤保房・宮澤良舟に師事する。素材は主に黄楊等の木材を使用し、牙彫作品も手掛ける。リアリズムに溢れる昆虫、小動物、植物を得意とする。＜賞歴その他＞2001年 大坂府知事賞受賞 2001年 文部科学大臣奨励賞受賞 2002年 松本市美術館展覧 2003年 経済産業省製造産業局長賞受賞 2004年 高円宮賞受賞 2006年 近藤不二賞受賞 2008年 文部科学大臣賞受賞~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ATARU MAEDA [Born] 1972/JAPAN/ [Real name] Ataru Maeda / [Experience] Freelance writer / Sculptor / ==== After graduated from an Art college, started the netsuke carving by myself, then, studied under Yasufusa Saito and Ryoshu Miyazawa.
