| Introduction | The Library building was constructed in 1923 as a War Memorial Literary Institute. Returned soldiers led the fundraising that was necessary to construct the building. Part of the money was raised by holding "Queen" competitions. The memorial plaques which once graced the front of the verandah were given a new home at our town's War Memorial just a short distance down the road. |
