| Introduction | Brent Stansell is an educator, dramaturg, actor, and solo performance artist. He is the co-founder of DC Theatre Collective with his friend Jenny Lynn Towns (visit www.dctheatrecollective.com). Brent is currently an affiliated teaching artist with the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Round House Theatre. He has taught at The George Washington University, American University, Montgomery College, and Brooklyn College, where he completed an MFA in Dramaturgy. As a professional dramaturg, he has worked as a Theatre Curator for the Crown Point Festival and with Moisés Kaufman of Tectonic Theater Project, solo performer Josh Lefkowitz, and Forum Theatre in DC. Brent has worked as an actor at Round House Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, and Ganymede Arts, among others. Brent is an alumnus of National Player’s Tour 55 out of the Olney Theatre Center. Brent has also worked at Roundabout Theatre Company and the Kennedy Center. He has a BA from The George Washington University, where he currently teaches. He recently produced his solo performance piece My Fabulous Sex Life in the 2009 DC Capital Fringe Festival. |
