Introduction Do you ever choose the shortest grocery line only to discover that the person in front of you has 27 coupons to redeem, wants a price check, and is paying by check? Life feels like that sometimes. We make our plans and envision a superhighway to personal fulfillment. What frustration when we find our fast lane deteriorate into a mosquito ridden jungle path that we must machete through one sweaty, sweltering foot at a time. I wanted to name this blog “Still Standing,” a sort of defiant gesture at the detours and roadblocks that have frustrated my way. But not only was that domain name taken, so were the half dozen others I tried until I finally landed on All2Stand. But how fitting! It echoes one whose life was marked by a most famous detour, one who urges us to “be strong . . . . and having done all, to stand firm.” And so I invite you to join the conversation here at All2Stand. Whether you’re standing tall or at a stand still, we can perhaps share our experiences and smooth the way for each other.
Interests old houses, herbs, reading (mysteries for fun, literature for thought, the Bible for food - the spiritual kind) cooking, my family
