About me

Location Accrington, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Introduction Steve Glover taught French and German for 20 years at three different schools in Lancashire. He wrote seven Bibliobus readers which older teachers will remember and the little known but perfectly formed Openings in French cartoon workbook. In the early 90’s he worked with the late Jim Hall on Escalier 4 and 5 teachers books and the Escalade readers. In the late 90’s he produced the Really Useful French site one of the first UK teacher resource sites. He then wrote the KS3 and KS4 French resources for digitalbrain producing the courses within about 5 weeks and then left teaching to join the company in 2000. After a few years enjoying the fruits of the dotcom boom moving into working with virtual learning environments he moved to serco still with that role before coming back into Lancashire as an elearning consultant for the 14-19 strategy working on a range of interesting projects. He has continued teaching French in some shape or form during the noughties and is now hoping to finally get at least one subject area using virtual learning environments through www.alevelfrench.com
