Introduction After church on Good Friday, 2010, my life changed forever. I was ready to make some changes in my life. But not like this. . . We had just pulled out of the church parking lot after service. I heard a loud noise and knew a car hit us. Then the world went black and my last thought was, "wow! I'm dead! That was easy!" Instead of Jesus, the first face I saw was a paramedic in an ambulance. Jesus would have already known my name, date of birth, the date and who is president. I'm obviously NOT dead and was unconscious for less than 30 minutes. Over the next 6 weeks I began to realize something "wasn't quite right." My ability to solve simple problems like getting a u-haul to move my daughter home from school was beyond my ability. I was confused in familiar places. I will never be who I "was," and that's ok with me. One thing will never change. I will forever be a child of God, adopted by the King, with an inheritance in heaven, bought and paid for by Jesus Christ, on the cross and through the resurrection. And most days, that's enough for me to know.
