| Introduction | I have always wanted to be a fashion designer. I attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where I obtained a Fashion Design degree. After graduating from the Academy of Art, I moved to southern California and worked in design for Lucky Brand Jeans, Joe Boxer and Hurley International. I always missed San Francisco though. So I moved back to San Francisco and decided to start my own clothing line. And thus, Gingerbread Clothing was born. The Gingerbread Clothing line focuses on the quality and detailing that makes each pieces feel and look handmade. It is the perfect mix of sugar and spice. I use recycled designer fabrics and vintage saris. This is not only eco-friendly, but also gives the wearer a sense of couture fashion as only a certain number of one design can be made from a certain fabric. The possibilities are endless, however each combination is of a limited quantity. Gingerbread Clothing is targeted at a diverse array of women. It appeals to women of all ethnicities and all ages. It is about celebrating women and celebrating our world. Clothing should be a journey and this is what I am hoping to provide, a journey for all to share. |
